Crowns & Bridges
The problems associated with damaged and missing teeth shouldn’t have to linger; instead, turn to Dr. Shumway for a custom dental crown and/or bridge that beautifully replenishes the lost structure and gives you back a smile that feels great.
We typically recommend crowns when treating a tooth that’s too badly decayed for a filling, that’s weakened and in need of additional protection, that’s suffering from cosmetic flaws, or that needs restoration after a dental implant or root canal procedure. Bridges, on the other hand, are designed to replace one or more missing teeth in a row. They appear similar to partial dentures, with one significant difference – by anchoring additional crowns over nearby healthy teeth, our team creates a much sturdier, more lifelike fit. In most cases, crowns and bridges will require two to three appointments to complete at our Spokane Valley practice.
Full & Partial Dentures
Dentures can be a lifesaver when a patient facing significant tooth loss is in need of a fast and affordable solution. Our Spokane Valley staff offers both full dentures (dentures designed to replace an entire arch of teeth) and partials (dentures designed to replace some teeth on one arch), with both options being personalized and conveniently removable. If you’re looking for a more permanent replacement for missing teeth, implant-retained dentures are also available at our practice!
Root Canal Therapy
When you’re suffering from extensive tooth decay that can’t be treated with a crown or a filling, root canal therapy could be your last line of defense against the need for extraction. During this procedure, Dr. Shumway removes bacteria from the inner workings of your hurting tooth, thoroughly cleaning the area and restoring its strength with a personalized crown. This treatment has a high success rate, and thanks to it, many patients are able to enjoy all of their natural teeth for many years to come.
