Dr. Scott Shumway graduated from the University of Maryland Dental School in 2010 and entered directly into a residency for advanced training in oral and IV sedation dentistry, oral surgery, periodontics, endodontics, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and restorative dentistry.

Following his residency, Dr. Shumway continued serving in the United States Air Force Dental Corps, where he received additional training, expanded his skills, and learned the latest techniques in dentistry. During this time, he received several awards, including Clinical Dentist of the Year from Air Mobility Command. He’s very thankful for his time in the Air Force and the opportunity to care for the troops that serve our country.
When Dr. Shumway isn’t caring for patients, he spends as much time as possible with his wife, Lis, and their four children. They’re excited to raise their family in beautiful Spokane, Washington. They enjoy many outdoor activities and actively participate in church and community responsibilities. Dr. Scott enjoys golfing, fishing, hiking, camping, and many other outdoor activities in the area.

Outside of work, I enjoy being outdoors, traveling, spending time with loved ones, and baking something sweet.

I graduated from the Dental Assisting School in 2005 from Spokane Community College. I have worked at a couple of different offices, but nothing compares to working for Dr. Shumway and being a part of his team. I truly enjoy being a part of a team that takes good care of patients and treats them like family.
In my time away from the office, I enjoy any outdoor activities, including snowboarding and camping with my husband and two boys.

I really enjoy working with Dr. Shumway. It is very important to me to work for someone with exceptional clinical skills and to be a part of a team that strives for excellence in caring for patients. It is fun being back in this office. I literally started my career here many years ago and have found my way back!
I have an amazing husband, two adult children, and two grandbabies with another one on the way! I love the outdoors for boating, hiking, sunrises, sunsets, and vacationing in Mexico!
